Temples of Tamil Nadu

Temples of Tamil Nadu recreation, in collaboration with Isha Foundation

In collaboration with Isha Foundation (@isha.foundation), this effort is part of a larger movement for the revival of temples in Tamil Nadu. The initiative supports the cause of freeing temples and preserve their sacred spaces with greater care and devotion.





Abathsagyayeswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located at Thukkachi, Kumbakonam. It is said to be the first of the three Sarabeswarar temples in Kumbakonam and is famous for the Durga Shrine in the complex which faces South, unlike other Shiva temples.

Sri Pundarikakshan Temple is one of the 108 Vaishnava Divya Desas situated in Tiruvellarai, Tiruchi. This temple was like a horizontal fort with echo rooms on the south side.


Vijaya Varada Perumal Temple is a Vishnu temple situated at Baburayanpettai, Kanchipuram. The aerial view of the temple describes its form, depicting Garuda (carrier of Lord Vishnu).
