Yali Acrylic Frame
The Yali in Hampi is a mythical creature commonly found carved on the pillars and plinths of Vijayanagara temples. It is a hybrid beast, often depicted with the body of a lion and features of other animals, such as an elephant or horse, symbolizing immense power and protection. Here, the Yali is depicted in a baluster, also known as Hasta-Hasti.
Acrylic layered frames placed between wooden blocks, with wall-mounted artwork of three layers. The layer at the back has the whole photograph, the layer in the middle has the broken animal sculpture and the layer in the front has the completed illustrtation of the ruin.
