'The sun is a daily reminder that the fallen will rise once again.'
'Martand Sun Temple' was built in the 8th Century under the reign of king 'Lalitaditya Muktapida' of the Surya dynasty. It is one of the oldest sun temples and the best example for Kashimiri Hindu Temples with Gandharan and Greek influence.
This artwork is created in collaboration with Akul Tripathi, host and author of the architecture series Ekaant and several other shows. The photograph incorporated into this mixed-media piece was captured by him.
